A
Active directory status
In Mydentify, active means the directory looks open for use in the public catalog. It is not a promise that every submission will be accepted.
MydentifyAgent-readable page
A page written so both people and AI tools can clearly see what the product is, who it helps, and where to go next.
AI discoveryAgentic commerce
Buying and selling where software agents can find a priced resource, pay, and receive the result without a human signup flow.

When an AI answer names or links to your product as a source. Clear public pages make accurate citations more likely.
AI discoveryAI crawler
Software from AI products that reads public pages so those tools can answer questions about the web.
AI discoveryAI discovery
People finding products through AI answers and assistants, not only classic search results.
AI discoveryAI product interpretation
What an AI system currently believes your product is, based on your public pages and listings.

A public file that states how you want AI tools to use your site content.
AI discoveryAlt text
A short written description of an image for people who cannot see it and for tools that cannot read pictures.

The visible, clickable words in a link. Clear words help people know where they are going.
LinksARR
Annual recurring revenue — usually monthly recurring revenue multiplied by twelve for subscription businesses.
GrowthB
C
Canonical URL
The one official address you want search engines to treat as the real page when copies or variants exist.
SEOClosed directory status
In Mydentify, closed means the directory no longer looks like a usable listing destination.
MydentifyConditional link
A directory link type that changes by tier — for example nofollow on free, dofollow on paid. Always check the live page.
LinksCorroborated
Multiple sources agree on the directory details, but Mydentify has not fully rechecked every field yet.
MydentifyCustomer churn
The share of customers who cancel in a period. High churn means growth has to replace leavers before it compounds.
GrowthD
Directory research (1,000)
Mydentify’s original study of 1,000 product directories — methods, counts, and public data exports.
MydentifyDirectory ROI
Whether the traffic, signups, or links from a directory justify the time or money you spent listing there.
DirectoriesDirectory Score
Mydentify’s 0–100 score for comparing directory opportunities — fit, lasting listing, submission path, citation value, and more. It does not promise traffic or rankings.
MydentifyDirectory submission
The act of sending your product details to a directory for review or publication. A good submission matches their format and rules.
DirectoriesDiscovered
Mydentify found the directory and recorded what sources show. Treat details as a starting point.
MydentifyDofollow
A normal link that search engines may count as a signal of trust. Many directories use nofollow or other rel values instead.
LinksDofollow directory study
Mydentify’s report on directories currently classified as dofollow in the researched directory snapshot.
MydentifyDomain Rating
Ahrefs’ 0–100 score for how strong a site’s backlink profile looks. Useful for comparing directories; not a Google ranking score.

O
Open Graph
A small set of tags in a page's code that control how it looks when shared on social media or messaging apps — the preview title, description, and image.
SEOOrganic traffic
Visits that come from unpaid search results. It does not include ads, direct visits, or every click from a social post.
SEOOrphan page
A page on your site that has no internal links pointing to it, making it hard for visitors and crawlers to find even though it technically exists.
SEOOutreach
Directly contacting site owners, writers, or editors to ask for a link, a mention, or a guest post placement.
LinksP
PageRank
Google’s original idea for scoring pages based on links from other pages. You do not get a public PageRank number for every site today.
SEOPaid directory
A directory that requires payment to submit or publish a listing. Pay for reach or process — not for a ranking guarantee.
DirectoriesPaused directory status
In Mydentify, paused means the directory may still exist but submission or listing activity looks temporarily stopped.
MydentifyProduct directory
A curated list of products, usually software, organized so buyers and builders can browse by category or use case.
DirectoriesProduct distribution
How you get a shipped product in front of the right people — listings, content, links, communities, and partners.

LinksRevenue churn
The share of recurring revenue lost from downgrades and cancels — not only lost logos.

A public file that tells crawlers which parts of your site they may or may not fetch. It is not a security lock.

A directory aimed at software-as-a-service products — tools people subscribe to online.
DirectoriesScore confidence
How complete and trustworthy the information behind a Directory Score is. Higher confidence means more verified inputs.
MydentifySoftware review site
A site that publishes reviews or comparisons of tools, not just a short listing. Reviews can send traffic; link treatment varies.
DirectoriesSponsored link
A link marked rel="sponsored" to show it came from paid or promotional placement. Treat it as advertising, not earned trust.
LinksStale
The record looks outdated or unreliable and is kept out of the public catalog until refreshed.
MydentifyStartup directory
A site that lists startups and tools so people can find and compare them. Founders use these for launches, listings, and sometimes links.
