About Mydentify

Built for discovery. Rebuilt for the conversation.

Mydentify has always helped useful things get found. The place where discovery happens has changed.

Our history

Two eras. One purpose.

2004

The directory era

Mydentify launched as a web directory when links and curated listings shaped how people explored the internet. It grew into a successful destination, processing thousands of link submissions and attracting sponsorships from businesses that wanted to be discovered.

2026

The agentic era

Discovery moved inside ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and other AI systems. Mydentify was rebuilt for that shift: products are organized by what people want to accomplish, supported by evidence, and published as structured data that humans and agents can understand.

What has not changed

Being useful is not enough if nobody finds you.

In 2004, getting listed helped a site enter the search ecosystem. In 2026, a product must enter the conversation. If AI cannot identify what your product does, who it helps, and when to recommend it, it may never reach the shortlist.

Who runs Mydentify today

Timothy Allard founded Mydentify in 2004 and rebuilt it in 2026. He operates the product from Denver, Colorado and reviews its public direction.
