What each directory record includes
A record can include the directory name, website, category, description, submission path, pricing, link type, Domain Rating, operating status, verification status, and review date. Empty fields stay unknown; we do not fill gaps with guesses.
The public research pages use a frozen snapshot so totals can be reproduced. Live directory pages may change after that snapshot, so check the source before you submit.
Where the source facts come from
We prioritize first-party submission pages, pricing and terms pages, public listing pages, robots rules, XML sitemaps, and visible provider links. A user or editor can point us to a source, but the source still needs a check.
A record is verified when the key facts were checked against a current source. It is corroborated when more than one useful signal supports it. Discovered and stale records remain visible with lower confidence until a new review changes their state.
How link type and DR are labeled
Link type describes the public provider link we observed: dofollow, nofollow, conditional, or unknown. A link can change after publication, and a dofollow label does not guarantee that a search engine will crawl, index, or value the page.
Domain Rating is recorded as a third-party authority estimate for the host when a current source provides it. DR is not a Mydentify score, is not the same as Google ranking, and does not prove that a particular listing will pass authority.
How the Directory Score works
The Directory Score combines six visible factors: product fit (25%), lasting listing value (20%), an active submission opportunity (20%), an accessible process (15%), citation value (10%), and domain authority (10%). Each known factor is normalized to a 0–100 scale.
Unknown facts reduce confidence instead of silently becoming zero. Verified records receive a small confidence adjustment; stale, paused, and closed records are penalized. The score helps compare opportunities in the same dataset. It is not a ranking guarantee or a recommendation to submit blindly.
What this research cannot prove
A directory entry does not prove traffic, conversions, search visibility, indexing, referral value, or a Domain Rating increase. Approval can take time, a listing can be removed, and a public page can change its canonical or link attributes.
We do not buy placements, manufacture votes or reviews, submit duplicate records, or claim a backlink until the public page passes an independent check for status, canonical, indexability, exact destination, link attributes, spelling, and persistence.
How to suggest a correction
Send the record URL, the field that changed, and a current first-party source to hello@mydentify.com. We log the review and update the record when the evidence supports it.
